An electronic-body-music duette with updated electronics and a more aggressive stylus, Funker Vogt was formed by vocalist Jens Kastel and coder Gerrit Thomas (they took the identify Funker Vogt from a radio operator friend). The duette appeared on several compilations in their native Germany, and released their debut record album Thanks for Nothing in 1996. After the press release of 2 limited EPs (Words of Power and Take Care), Funker Vogt signed an American handle with Metropolis Records. The label reissued their debut, and too released the follow-up We Came to Kill in late 1997. Kastel and Thomas get likewise worked as remixers on Leæther Strip's Yes, I'm Limited, Vol. 2, reverting in mid-2000 with Maschine Zeit. T. was issued in early 2001.
